Jose Couto Centeio was born in Fogo, Cape Verge Islands. He received his B.S. from Tufts University in 1984, his J.D. from Boston College in 1988. He is a Member of both the Massachusetts and American Bar Associations, with membership in the Family Law and Real Estate Law sections of both, as well as the Massachusetts Conveyancers Association. Jose joined Nathanson & Goldberg in the Spring of 1998 as a partner where his practice includes civil litigation, personal injury, real estate, family and landlord/tenant matters. Prior to joining the firm, Jose had his own firm which concentrated on family law, real estate and landlord/tenant matters. He is fluent in Cape Verdean Creole, Portuguese and Spanish and is a past President of the Cape Verdean Independence Celebration Committee, a position he held from 1995-2000. Attorney Centeio is fluent in Creole, Portuguese and Spanish.
